I have been a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist since 2003 in California and Tennessee. I believe that therapy is the art of exploring and witnesing with the client what has long been under the surface, and bringing it to the light for healing. It is the art of discovering what needs to be seen, known, and transformed. I especially enjoy working with those feeling “stuck” in some way in their life, and would like to find creative ways to discover old and new parts of themselves.

Sometimes, in our busyness in life, we forget to look inside, or we are afraid of what we will see, or trauma, pain, and the loss of life has kept us isolated and alone in our feelings.

In my work with clients, we work together to create custom therapeutic sessions: sometimes we talk, sometimes we draw, and oftentimes we listen to our bodies to find out what it wants to say. I am an eclectic therapist who borrows from over 20 years of therapy working with many ages in a variety of settings and techniques. Recently, I have been using a therapeutic modality called Internal Family Systems that can easily identify internal feelings and “parts” in a visual way towards mind/body and experiential healing.
